You’ve never heared of Golden City Sounds? Me too, but let us change this within the following lines. Hamburg’s finest, in person as Boris Dlugosch, Hey Today! and one-half of Digitalism setup a new “home, a place, a planet called Golden City” to have one’s fling.
The first release will be a collaboration with Boris Dlugosch and Róisín Murphy, the voice of Moloko. Most of you (hopefully) will remember their first working relation back in 1999, when Boris remixed the track “Sing It Back”, which was the most widely heard version. “Look Around You” is the name of the new EP and comes with a catchy and highly-danceable disco sound. Digital release will be the 26th April and vinyl comes May 17th. They also got some remixes by Hey Today!, Chopstick & Johnjon and Maxxi Soundsystem.
The guys also setup a remix contest via Beatport. All you have to do is remixing the track “Never Enough” from 2001. Give the track a refresh and maybe you will win a release on Mousse-T‘s imprint, Peppermint Jam.
