Switch On The Night [Docu Series]

Switch On The Night is the ultimate ten-documentary series about the people, places and the products that switch on the night. To realise this series, Mixmag and Olmeca Tequila teamed up and the result are ten short films about South African music genre Kwaito, different dance music cultures in Kazantip or Ibiza and more. But I’ve picked my favourite parts about Daft Punk, Native Instruments, London’s Underground and as you can see on top – The Origins of House! Which is a brief history of house music as told by the legends himself. This is just a short film which touched on the history of house music but it’s might be the introduction for you to learn more about it. Most of the people don’t know what is house music or associate other genres with it – which is from a historical point of view simply wrong. Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy this four documentations as I do.

Daft Punk: Behind the Helmets
Mixmag goes to Hollywood to discover how the Daft Punk helmets were born and the creation process involved. A must for any fan of the most iconic dance music duo in history.

Native Instruments: Behind The Brand
Native Instruments is a leading manufacturer of software and hardware for computer-based audio production and DJing. The company’s mission is to develop innovative, fully-integrated solutions for all musical styles and professions. The resulting products regularly push technological boundaries and open up new creative horizons for professionals and amateurs alike.
