This is what I got in my mind when I hear the word “acid”: “…Acid is the latest sound – Can you feel it, all around, as you dance? – Acid has a certain groove – That makes your body wanna move…” It’s from the track “This Is Acid (A New Dance Craze)” by Maurice from 1988. It’s strange because this was made when I was born and it’s still amazing. What do we learn about acid? It never dies.
Even if Boys Noize dedicates a whole compilation called “Super Acid” to that “new dance craze, called acid”, it is simply still present and if you have a heart for electronic music, you have to love acid. So here we go with the “Acid In 2107 EP” by Serge P, an uprising new star. Born in 1991 and already one of the “BOOTSHAUS” residents – this legendary club in Cologne, he presents his new EP on the french label called Police Records. The EP contain three originals and four excellent remixes by D-r-u-n-k, UN Code, Needs ant Woody Mc Bride aKa DJ ESP – one of the main reference for Acid Techno! And with support by the likes of Bart B More, Zombie Nation, Clouds and many others, I align oneself with Shinichi Osawa: “Nice! pure ACID…my fav is Back on Acid 2007,will drop it!”
