Today, KiNK‘s latest release called “Fantasia EP” dropped on Catz’n Dogz label Pets Recordings. The Bulgarian wizzard, who’s definitely known for his brilliant live shows which he approved with his latest Boiler Room show and his excellent recent album called “Under Destruction” (listen here).
That continues here, Fantasia is a brooding and slow burning track with a synth line that goes from rubbery to acidic. Around it, patient percussion, deep, warm kicks and breathy female vocals add a sense of sexual tension then finally, KiNK’s trademark and colourful synth freakiness takes over. It’s the sort of track that will lock in dancefloors and mesmerise them for the duration.
The remix comes from Truncate, who runs his own eponymously entitled label, releases on 50Weapons and produces deep, textured house and techno. His version is more urgent and techno leaning, with paranoid siren like hooks, scurrying basslines and lots of ravey warehouse intent.
