Maelstrom‘s new EP is absolutely massive! Just a simple conclusion but also honest and genuine. With releases on Boysnoize Records TRAX, Bromance, Sound Pellegrino or Dirtybird and remixes for Erol Alkan & Boys Noize, Birdy Nam Nam, Busy P, Proxy – just to list a few – he built quite a name in the business.
Hailing from an ancient French harbour city, Maelstrom grew up in Techno filled dark and grimy warehouses. Now he spends his days shuttered in darkness, working on his own music and his nights at clubs, raves and festivals passing that music on, inspiring another generation – which you can hear in his music.
Now he’s about to release his next EP called Discord on The Hacker & Gesaffelstein‘s label Zone Records. A massive three track techno package. While “Tank Diving” is an athmospheric ocean of acid synth-leads, “Discord” will break the peace into darkness – extremely infectious techno rave – my favourite. And “Scanner” self-proclaimed cybertronian electro-funk. Release date is the 24th February – I can’t wait – enjoy!
